Our No Spam Policy and How We Use Facebook

Our No Spam Policy is our promise to you that we won’t abuse the trust implied by connecting with your Facebook account.

You can take a quick tour of CupidWithFriends to see how it works if you haven’t done that yet.

Here’s our No Spam Policy:

  • We will never post to your wall. We don’t even ask permission to do it.
  • We will never message your friends. Only you can do that.
  • We do not show up in your activity feed.
  • If any of your friends need to be reached, we’ll ask you to send them a private message on Facebook. We never do this automatically.

Here are the ways we use Facebook to create the best possible experience for you:

  • Displaying a list of friends to select from in order to create profiles for them or comment on their profile.
  • Allow you to block individual friends on Facebook from seeing or commenting on your profile.
  • Allow you to select photos of your friends to add to their profiles.
  • To confirm who are your friends on Facebook, and who is allowed to comment on your profile.
  • To filter out friends from search results.
  • To allow you to introduce your Facebook friends to other people on the site who are not your Facebook friends.
  • We use your Close Friends list to recommend whom you should comment on or create profiles for.
  • We do not gather contact information of your friends. We have no way of contacting them, that must be done explicitly by you by sending a private Facebook message.

These are things we will not do with your Facebook friends:

  • We will not automatically add photos of them to their profile, beyond the provided profile photo. You must add additional photos to their profile.
  • We will not add additional information to their profile unless it’s available from Facebook and public. This includes: age, sex, and current city. Any information that is not available must be added by your friends, and you will not be able to add it for them.
